We don't love asking for things,
Happy Holidays from The Art of Joy. As we are moving into a New Year and new decade, we want to approach it from a place of growth and abundance. What is the difference between goal-setting vs. intention setting? We believe that intentions are deeply rooted in our feelings and desires, and goals are the outcome. If we can learn to focus our attention inward on the intentions we set, the goals we crave will feel within our reach. It’s a small shift in the way we approach the new year and all of the possibilities that await us.
Instead of setting a goal to loose weight, try moving into the feelings of living healthy and loving your body exactly as it is. Realize what your beautiful body can do for you now and ask yourself what it needs to perform even better.
Rather than setting a goal to have more money, appreciate and have gratitude for what you currently have. Then ask yourself what steps you can take to increase that abundance. Appreciation for the smallest things in our life opens us to the opportunities to create more.
If you have a goal to find your true love, recognize first the people in your life that are your tribe. Let that love fill your heart and then ask yourself how you can expand that love outward to attract more of it back to you.
These are just simple shifts in the way we move into a new year, knowing that we will be inundated with feedback from our social media world. We will feel the pressure more now than ever to become the most. We believe that if you can turn that energy inward and find gratitude for what is already there, we can all create the abundance we crave. Ask yourself what your intentions are. Then you can look forward to the goals you desire, becoming the prize at the end of the journey.
